Translated from Filipino by Bro. Marlex Cantor
The Bible proves that the right and privilege to serve God and to receive salvation is confined within the true Church Of Christ. One who leaves the Church cannot bring such privileges with him/her. Such is the testimony of Apostle Paul concerning the woeful condition of those who are outside the Church:
“remember that at that time you were separated from Christ [excluded from any relationship with Him], alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise [with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements], having no hope [in His promise] and [living] in the world without God.”
Ephesians 2:12 Amplified Bible (2015)
Those who are separated from Christ or excluded from any relationship with Him are the ones who are not inside the Church because what has relationship with Christ is the Church (Col. 1:18; Eph. 5:31-32 God’s Word).
So, the ones who are subject to Christ or under His authority are those who are inside the Church (Eph. 5:24). When one is outside the Church, he is separated from Christ, not under His authority, and has no relationship with Him. Such are the ones whom the Bible describes as having no hope for the promise of salvation and without God.
Those who have been expelled from the Church and those who voluntarily left the Church are both outside the Church. God will judge them, so they will not be saved. Take note of what Apostle Paul stated:
“What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. ‘Expel the wicked person from among you.'” 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 (NIV)
Therefore, what some are saying that they are still true members of the Church Of Christ though they have already been expelled or have left the Church is not only an absolute hypocrisy but also a downright deception. It is a clear deviation from the biblical teaching preached by Brother Felix Manalo and Brother Eraño G. Manalo.
For, when in the history of the Church in these last days did they teach that those who have been expelled are to be acknowledged as true members of the Church? When did they teach that God still accepts the worship rendered by those who have already been expelled? Most certainly, never did they teach that those expelled from the Church will be saved.
